Munny Painting Party
Had a Munny painting party this past Sunday with a few friends. I finally finished one of mine today, I should have the other one finished by this weekend. Once all of them are completed I will post the pictures here. But here is a pic I snapped with my phone after final assembly.
It's a statue... Get it? Get it? I will get better pictures. I even painted some pigeons and attached them around him. I like it. It was fun. The other one was the one I was looking forward to the most. So I hope it turns out as good as I hope it does.

Face Pincher
cheek squeezer...
I was getting frustrated will all the props I was modeling so yesterday I had fun while making a new character face. Simple model with a few morphs, didn't take me that long, I guess I still got it...
Yay for cartoony characters. Not sure what I am going to do with this guy, but it seems like it may work well for animation, I would like to try some facial animation with him. Maybe after March is over hah.-eD

Diggin For Gold!
Then I realized that the prospectors didn't have such a great time rummaging through all that mud and yuck...
This only counts as one, but I finished the booger one around 10pm or so, and then I started goofing around with the snotty one. Needless to say I got carried away and this is my first post that I missed the window of posting. So I figured I would post a few things to make up for it...-eD

The One... The Only...
The FINGER!
I wanted to make a point with this one. That the finger is just a finger and only the thought of what it implies makes it so taboo. Which is the main reason I posted a secondary version of it for ya. that and I only added extra textures one finger (so enjoy it while you can).
Have a feeling a lot of these will be seen tonight on one of the biggest drinking nights of the year... Happy St. Patrick's Day!

High 5!
A little late on the post today. I apologize, I started a short two week gig today.
Strangely enough this image was selected for today long before I knew I had the interview/start date the same day.
Luckily I have a few prepared since I will be working during the days again and won't have as much time to work on these. But I still believe I will get to my finish date of March 31st. Cross your fingers...

San Fran Road Trip
The trip started at about 4:45am. The sun came up about an hour later. We first stopped for gas around six, which turned into bacon McGriddles. Then back on the road while eating breakfast.
After a few hours it was all flat land on either side.
This is basically what I saw the whole 8 hr drive...
At about 9 am we stopped so Justin could take an hour nap.
I tried to nap, but only was able to get a few winks. Abby snoozed the whole time, well when she wasn't finding new napping positions in the back seat.
More flat land but now there are cows! There were sheep later on, but I thought I may subconsciously start counting them so I didn't look too long or take any pictures.
Abby liked to put her head on the armrest. It was cute but distracting when you are trying to drive and you get a cold wet nose pressed on the back of your arm. Also when she stretched she would push her paws into my chest and back.
This was the bridge getting into Novato. The rain started and then we went on a 4 mile bridge after the toll. The fog was so thick it looks like the bridge goes into nothingness.
There was also nothing to see on the sides. Too much fog. On the way to the airport after unpacking the Uhaul at the storage space, we went back over the bridge I got to see the water on the sides of the bridge, but it was night so not so much of a view.
Then my flight back was delayed by a half hour, but after some talking to the guy at the booth thing for an earlier flight I was able to switch flights. It seems on southwest if your flight is delayed you can switch to another flight that has room for free. Then on the flight back I was able to sit in my own row. Even though it was only about an hour flight back to LA it was so relaxing. Occasionally it is nice to look menacing, it helps out especially whenever you are trying to make sure no one sits next to you on a plane. Booyah for not shaving!

Graffiti Is Art!
Here is a test render that I did of the spray can. I think it looks better in the test render than in the actual render. but I think that is because you can see the drips better in this one. (Like all image posts click it for a larger version.)
I know this post is late in the day, but I just got back from driving Justin's car and Abby (my Road Dog) to San Fran, then flew back. All this on 4 hrs sleep. I should have a post about my trip tomorrow after I wake up and organize the pictures (even though after the first few hours I stopped taking pictures).-eD

Night of the Axe

This should have been posted instead of the chopsticks image to have 3 horror related ones back to back. However in plotting and planning when to post what, I accidentally mix-matched the chopsticks and the axe one, but to not confuse myself I dated them correctly. Then when the day came to post the new image, duh duhnn dunnn I confused myself and posted the wrong one. oh well. I'll just say this one is for Justin, on his last day at the house...

Wha Huh?
I went to eat lunch with justin at Panda Express today and while in line I saw a large girl a bit younger than me drop some money on the floor. I picked it up, got her attention and gave it back to her. she stared at me strangely for a while and said thanks. I said no problem and she just kept staring, then she said "I guess that's your good deed for the day." I looked back at her, and said, "Probably for the week. Heh." then she finally stopped staring at me which was nice. But then the cruel twist of fate is that I didn't get a fortune cookie with my order. I mean come on, what is up with that?

Pecil Strong!
Ok I can't wait anymore for saturday's render post. I really like this one. Been playing with the backgrounds and having a blast doing it.
As far as the Pencil/pen/sword debate, it's tough to decide which is stronger pencil or pen. Pencil you can erase, and if it dulls you just sharpen it. Though as you use it, it will become smaller before it is un-usable. The pen however is permanent, it will not get dull but at some point it will run out of ink and be useless. So it's hard to determine which would be stronger than each other. A logical kids perspective I imagine.

A request
A request had been made a while ago if I would post better pictures of the nerf gun that I painted up and made "awesomer". I snapped these next to the original model. I sanded off all the additional words and marred it up here and there to show wear. The paint on the top rear, the handle, and the trigger has additional grip so that makes it feel cooler too.
Wish I could get paid for stuff like this. I need a monetary sponsor.
