I signed up for a 5k run next October. It's been about what 11 or so years since I ran more than a mile at a time, but I have a year to get into shape for it.

A zombie run! How cool is that? It reminds me of the "Let's get Dirty" race @Slippery Rock. There are multiple races across the country. I am going to be running for my life in San Diego with 2 friends (only 2 right now that is). I'm pretty excited about it. And what better reason to get into shape then being chased by zombies!?!?

Lesbian Cops
On Sunday I was at the filming of the 5th finale epsiode of Lesbian Cops. Got up @530 (on a Sunday) tonhelp out my friend Dave which the shoot. I was a gun wielding henchman, or I could say, I was 3 gun wielding henchmen. Costume changes with masks and bandanas and I'm a new man! It was a lot of fun, two of my guys get shot and killed, one though makes it to the bitter end. We'll see if he comes back for season 2 or the movie even.
I even got to help with the boom mic a bit for some of the shots once all my henchmen wrapped. It was a lot of fun.
The trailer is on YouTube, Facebook, and funnyordie.com. Not sure when the first episode will drop, though it should be very soon. My episode comes out late October. I'm excited it looks good.

Comic-Con Signatures & Such
I finally got around to taking pictures of the books that I got signed at comic-con this past weekend. I will only post the 3 that aren't just signatures... so none of the 2 Skottie Young Sketchbooks, and not the Humberto Ramos Sketchbook or Graphic Novel either...
Good Stuff!
and also here is the book that my friend Turner signed for me from his first Trade Paperback edition of "The Adventures of Wally Fresh."
![]() |
| The funniest thing about this (to me) is that Ben Templesmith is an Australian artist with dual citizenship in England and Australia. "American Hell Yeah" indeed! |
![]() |
| The spider-man villain the Rhino (bringing my spidey villain sketches from cheeks to 3 I believe, also have Green Goblin and Doc Ock) |

Ya, I love comics. Always have... probably always will, unless I go blind cause I have a feeling it would take me forever to learn braille... Knock on wood...

Good, Bad, Really?
I pre-ordered the last Twiztid CD Cryptic Collections 4 a while back from psychopathic records. I heard after the fact that Twiztid was going to sign all the pre-ordered discs, which would be an awesome bonus. The CD was released Tuesday, and mine arrives on Wednesday. I open it up and it's signed by both Madrox and Mono, but on the sealed plastic outside.
Really guys? I want to open the case to badly because I wanted to see the box art, but I don't know if I can get the collector in me to cut open the sealed part that has their signatures on it. I mean I have maybe 3 or 4 things signed by Twiztid already but this one even has the year! Ehhh I guess I'll keep it as is and try to find someone who has it who could scan the pages of the booklet for me...

Car Troubles?
I don't believe I mentioned it here but on Monday some girl at work backed into my car. She emailed the company asking who had a red for edge with my license plate, so I imagined either the worst or it was someone who was admiring my ICP sitckers, basically figuring the worst...
Finally get out to see the car, hearing that there was no damage to her boyfriends car and knowing that there was a 6-8ft distance between the cars I wasn't sure what to think. Turns out there was a scratch on my bumper, but only on the top.
I know that wasn't there on Saturday of the weekend before so we started to talk about how we were going to get it fixed. the next day I emailed her with quotes from multiple places claiming that they would have to totally repaint the entire bumper for $500, after a few emails she asks if we could look at it again after work. I agreed and had her boyfriend bring his car around to compare heights and possibilities. Turns out there was no chance that their bumper or any part of their car could have gotten above my bumper. So of course I wasn't going to make her pay to have my whole bumper repainted. Now I just have another mystery scratch on my car that everyone still thinks is new... My car has another battle scar that I wasn't a part of...

Good Morning...
Woke up on a Saturday around 8, laid in bed till 830. I showered and walked down to Jerry's Deli to have Breakfast with Keenan, Megan, Megan's sister and her husband. It was great to see them again even though it was only for a meal. Especially considering it was right before their flight back to Pa. Then I walked home and put together my "I can be a friend from across the country" package for Hobbs. I'll be headin out to the post office at some point soon. Considering to walk, but I'm not sure, it's a long stroll...

Heh Poo Gas...
I don't know what it is about fake farts that make me laugh so much. Real bodily sounds aren't that amusing to me (most likely downright disgusting), but a fake one is hilarious. We found a self-inflating whoopie cushion on the coffee table, no idea where it came from, so we planted it. We put it under the middle couch cushion on Saturday and there hasn't been a day yet when it doesn't make me laugh. The best thing is that we forget that it's even there till, "pfffft."
ahh good stuff.

True drainage...
Something was clogging our plumbing this morn causing the downstairs bathroom to flood a bit when i took my shower. Not fun for ben, after the fact funny for me, considering he had a quick shower with the garden hose before leaving for work. After 2 calls and an email to the landlady with no response, I called roto rooter to make an appointment. Set it up @ 630 but got a call @530 saying they were on their way. Had to leave work early and by the time we got home, he was already in our driveway waiting. About 20 minutes later he was finished and I was able to get a deal while talking to rhonda on the phone saving us over $150. Turns out it was roots blocking the drainage to the sewer, therefore not our fault. Will just attach the receipt with the 90 day guarantee to our rent checks for this month, taking out what I paid roto rooter of course. Frustrating day, full of waiting to hear back from people you can't rely on.

Pre Labor Day Party
We cleaned the house, bought tons of burgers and hot dogs, got a 1/2 keg and was all ready for the party. Our one roommate forgot about the party we've been talking about for weeks and didn't invite anyone. No biggie, we still had a decent turnout. Even requests to play rockband and def jam rapstar. seemed like everyone had a good time, still have tons of burgers and dogs, and a lot of beer in the keg. as long as we can keep it cold we have it for a week. I foresee a lot of beer drinking in my near future. The house was empty around midnight to 1, I cleaned up outside and most of inside. Microwaved a hotdog, and watched mars needs moms on blur ray. Finally fell asleep round 4 and woke up refreshed at 8am. been runnin around making dvd backups and organizing music for friends. I love to spread my music like a disease through my friends. Heh.
Have a great labor day. I think I may have to start drinking again to work on this keg, I mean I don't want to be wasteful.

Last Weekend, the Wedding
I know you've been waiting so here's my ha ha's recap of my last trip home... Of what I can remember at least...
I flew home Wednesday night, the red eye. Watched battle Los Angeles flying out of Los Angeles, and source code flying out of Chicago, and the movie takes place in Chicago. This wasn't on purpose, so I found it a funny coincidence. Del picked me up and we hung out, caught up on things and played some video games at his new house. It was awesome, even had a pool table in his basement (the vault think he called it). Went to pick up the tuxes and found out that my tux should have been picked up at the other store. Then I stood there like a fool while del tried on his tux, until the guy asked me if I needed anything else. He didn't understand why I was still there, I didn't understand why his shirt was unbuttoned so low, so we were both confused by each others presence.
Got home hung out with my mom for a bit then drank some beers while trying to start a fire in my backyard with Lil E and her boyfriend. Finally after burning an empty notebook from high school, got it flaming and it was about time for bed. Started the day with the realization that my moms personal car wouldn't start. Threw a wrench in my plans, put on the trickle charger and had my dad pick me up with my grandfather to go to lunch. A few beers and a burger later I was home tryin to find out how I was going to get to the wedding rehearsal. Del rolled through after work, we picked up my tux, which I will not say were or were not in the trunk. The rehearsal was fun, a lot of us goofing off more than we should have, ear flicks and shoulder tap kind of elementary school pestering. Nancy the director of our performance was like the juggernaut, once she's moving nothing can stop her. Even with our fantastic ideas she was immovable, trying to tell us, "it's almost over just listen to what I have to say."
Went to Parente's restaurant in Trafford for the rehearsal dinner, del said he knew where we were going so some people followed us as we got mildly lost on the 3 streets in Trafford. Dinner was nice, Keenan got all the groomsmen flasks with a bottle of crown, which ended up being the drink of the weekend. Went back to dels and hung out with crystal a bit when she got home from work. Back home for the night, where I crash as soon as I hit the bed.
Sat morning day of the wedding, the car still doesn't start, think it's the alternator, which would mean the trickle charger wouldn't do anything. Got all cleaned up, took out the lip piercing, and my mom dropped my off at keenan's so all the groomsmen could take the bus over to the church. A lot of pictures and waiting for the guests to arrive. Keenan was calm and jovial, everything was going great til we start making jokes about buttons popping on our tuxes, and my middle button pops off. Nancy being the no-nonsense trooper she is, grabs the needle and thread, and after I thread the needle for her she sews the button back on my coat. At least it was after all the initial pictures.
The wedding was amazing, no one fell, not much goofing around this time. A liquor filled bus ride after the wedding and we're taking pictures at a park, then another bus trip with some more drinks and we are at the reception hall. A little more waiting then the groomsmen and bridesmaids walk out to a song of their choosing. We did the humpty dance, and had the glasses with the noses on, it was pretty fun even though everyone was watching us prance around like weirdos.
The reception was fun, had a bit of food and a bunch of booze. Talking to and befriending the bartenders makes more bottles available which was a good find. Thanks to Del for that, otherwise I wouldn't have had any gin and I may not have danced as much as I did. It was less dancing than trying to entertain the girl, while she danced. But she kept pulling me back out on the dance floor, so I may not have been doing that bad.
Over to what use to be the Radison / Expo Mart where they have the pittburgh comic-con, for the after party bar. Bought a few drinks then happily remembered I wasn't in Cali when I saw the bill. Maybe all the smiles to the bartenders helped cause I was in a tux, I dunno. Back over to dels for the night where while playing pool in my socks I almost broke my toe, at least I don't think it's broken. It's been almost a week and it doesn't hurt so bad even though it's still bruised. Then watched married with children for a few hours until I fell asleep. Back home for a bit, brunch with rest of my Pa family, then home for a bit before having to go back to the airport and be on my way home to California.
Security was a breeze considering I checked my luggage and only had a bag of food and a small sling backpack for my iPad. A girl was sitting in my seat because she figured I wouldn't mind sitting on the isle even though I chose my own seat, the window. I didn't budge and she didn't try to ask she just moved (sometimes it's easier to be intimidating). I'm glad I didn't try to be nice though because her and her grandmother got up and walked around so many times. I would have been angry and having them crawl over me or getting up that many times. My camel bladder came in handy.
It was a fun whirlwind trip. I got to see a bunch of friends, a lot of family, and had a great time. Wish it could have been longer, but I should be back in a few months or so. Can't wait to see all the pictures! I'll bet there's tons of embarrassing candid pictures of me...
